Wilcox Students Advance to Final Round of U.S. Presidential Scholars Competition

We are excited to share that Wilcox High School students Shreyan Mitra and Sezen Musa have been selected from 628 semifinalists to advance to the final round of the 2023 U.S. Presidential Scholars competition.

The Commission on U.S. Presidential Scholars will review the applications of the semifinalists, and the final selection of the high school seniors who will be named as the 2023 U.S. Presidential Scholars will be announced by Dr. Miguel Cardona, U.S. Secretary of Education, this month.

“We are incredibly proud of our superstar Chargers. We are just seeing the beginning of the impact they will have on the world,” said Principal Kristin Gonzalez.

The fact that these exceptional students have made it to the semifinals in this highly selective and prestigious program is an outstanding accomplishment that deserves recognition, regardless of the final outcome of the competition. Congratulations, we can’t wait to see what’s next for you!
