Our Students are World-Leading and Future-Ready

May 2023

At the end of April, over 2,000 students participated in The Tech Challenge 2023 geared towards solving real-world problems. Students were challenged to engineer a structure that could withstand severe weather conditions — a structure that could "Survive the Storm."

"At The Tech, we always hope to inspire a passion for problem solving in young people,” said Katrina Stevens, President and CEO of The Tech. “This year's Tech Challenge showed thousands of students that the real problems they see in their neighborhoods or on the news are within their ability to address."

Among the winning teams were students from Millikin Elementary, Cabrillo Middle, Peterson Middle, and Santa Clara High students.
