Does Anything Change for SCUSD on June 15?

En Español

June 15, 2021

California plans to fully reopen the economy today, June 15, and ease the restrictions that have been in place during COVID-19. However, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has stated that “school masking guidance remains in place and masks are required. Going forward, CDPH will continue to provide guidance around youth settings.”

SCUSD's face mask requirements and other safety mitigation measures will remain in place through the end of our summer programs.

As a reminder, SCUSD’s face mask requirements for the 2020-2021 school year, and until further notice, is as follows:

  • All students and staff must wear a face mask while on school and district campuses
  • All students and staff must wear a face mask when on a school bus

We anticipate that CDPH will be issuing directives for schools for the 2021-2022 school year by early July which we will share out with SCUSD families and staff as soon as we know more.
