Resources for Families

January 2020

Santa Clara High School students are keeping families warm this winter thanks to a grant from DonorsChoose.org, written by vocational Specialist Kathy Lane. Students volunteered during lunch breaks and after school to make over 100 warm scarfs to donate to families at our Family Resource Center (FRC).

Located on the Educational Options campus, the FRC was created to increase collaboration and provide streamlined services and resources to help families become more engaged in their child’s education. It offers not only educational opportunities, and referral support for outside services, but also resources in the area of basic needs.

The FRC is currently looking for warehouse volunteers to assist with packing food boxes once a month for our food distribution program. The event takes place at The Reaching Out Center at Cathedral of Faith (2315 Canoas Garden Avenue, San Jose, CA 95125) from 9-11 a.m. Sign up online or contact Johanna Gonzalez at 408-423-3528 for more information.
