Safe Routes to School Poster Contest

Santa Clara Unified students — Kindergarten through 8th grade — are invited to design a poster using one of the following safety messages:

  • Always wear a helmet when riding your bike or scooter
  • Cross the street at the crosswalk
  • Always make eye contact with drivers when crossing the street
  • Look all four ways before you cross: left, right, front, back
  • Don’t talk or text on your phone when crossing the street (put those headphones away too)

The winning poster at each school will be featured at the district office, on the district website, recognized by the SCUSD Board of Trustees, and used for Safe Routes to School publicity around Santa Clara.

Entries are due no later than 5 p.m. on January 31, 2020.

Complete the entry form using the link below (print it or ask your school site for a copy). Please fill out all fields on page two of the entry form completely to make sure that the Safe Routes team can contact you and then submit your completed entry to the school office.

All submitted artwork becomes the property of the City of Santa Clara. The City and the School District reserve the right to publish the artwork and the student’s name and school.
