New Faces: Lisette Moore-Guerra, Coordinator of Health and Wellness
Lissette Moore-Guerra received a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Santa Clara University, a master’s degree in social work from San Jose State University, and her Master of Arts in educational administration from Santa Clara University.
She was issued her California administrative services credential by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, with authorizations in school social work and child welfare and attendance. She completed the Pupil Services Academy through the Association of California School Administrators and is a licensed clinical social worker in the State of California.
Lissette joins Santa Clara Unified from Palo Alto Unified School District where she has been the student services coordinator in the Student Wellness and Support Services department for the past four years. Some of Lissette’s current responsibilities include:
Serve as the district’s 504 coordinator
Work with site administrators on complaints and investigations surrounding bullying
Support uniform complaint procedures
Serve as chairperson of the Student Attendance Review Board
Supervise to social workers and social work interns from local universities
Work closely with the site administrators in problem-solving challenging situations that impact students, families, and staff
Collaborate with wellness coordinators and district nurses to think of situations from teaching and learning, policy, and personnel perspectives to promote reaching solutions that benefit all stakeholders
