Christmas 4 Kids

On December 12, Rotary Club of Santa Clara and Lexus of Stevens Creek partnered to share holiday fun with almost 200 underserved Santa Clara Unified students. The excited students from Bowers, Briarwood, Hughes, Montague, and Scott Lane Elementary Schools arrived at Lexus of Stevens Creek — courtesy of Royal Coach Tours — for their own personal meet and greet with Santa.

Students got to chat with Santa (known to some as Bob Buchser) and receive gifts from their wishlist — some that were bigger than the students themselves. Each student also received a warm winter coat, got to pick out a gift for a loved one, and choose two new books. Santa’s helpers were even there to help with wrapping gifts and much to the delight of the students, The Grinch made a special celebrity appearance.

Thank you to all of the volunteers that made this event possible, including the Rotary Interact students who were helper elves for the event. Special thanks to Deborah York who planned the event and to the rest of the Rotary team. We appreciate everything that you do for our students and we know that they do, too.
