The district’s Family Resource Center recently partnered with My New Red Shoes (MNRS) to offer Santa Clara Unified students in grades 6-12 a new pair of shoes. On October 7 — with the help of community volunteers — we provided over 400 new pairs of shoes to our students. During the event, students were paired with a personalized shopper, who measured their foot to ensure the correct shoe size and helped them find the perfect pair.
The MNRS program was developed with the belief that no child should struggle to have their basic needs met. The organization strives to improve the overall educational experience and quality of life of students in need.
