Vocational Education Students Visit Quora

On January 18, twenty-one students from the Vocational Education program at Santa Clara and Wilcox High Schools took a trip to the Quora headquarters in Mountain View, California. During the two-hour job shadow, students were given to opportunity to interact with Quora’s staff and ask questions about the startup culture and tech industry in general.

“All twenty-one students in attendance were actively engaged and participated in several planned activities,” said Vocational Technician Edson Sanchez.

The hosts for the day, Benito Bellot and Erasmo Carrasco, provided a tour of Quora giving students the chance to see behind the scenes at a startup company. Quora is a Q&A site where users can ask questions and get reliable answers from verified community members. It was co-founded in 2009 by Adam D’Angelo and Charlie Cheever, both formerly from Facebook.

Big thanks to Quora for taking the time to give our students and staff a tour of the facilities and offering students insight into your industry.
