Santa Clara High School’s Black Student Union (BSU) continued their annual tradition of sharing excellent Black History presentations on February 15. The presentation, which was entirely student-created and student-performed, was shared with many other Santa Clara High students in a series of five performances throughout the day. This year, BSU included history, spoken word performances, dance, poetry (both historic and student-created), and multiple other elements.
“Santa Clara High School couldn't be prouder of the hard work and commitment shown by the students of BSU,” said Principal Greg Shelby. “We are grateful also for the adults who gave them guidance, including club adviser Karen Henry, College & Career Technician Anthony Butler, and VP of Activities Erin Brown.”
