Paul Rosa Named Coach of the Year

As though winning the 2018 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Division 3-A State Championships wasn’t enough reason to celebrate, the proud Chargers now get to officially call their Head Coach Paul Rosa, Coach of the Year. Prep2prep.com announced the good news and shared some insight into the season on their website.

“The main thing is I have great help,” Rosa told prep2prep.com. “You can’t do it by yourself, and our administration and my assistant coaches are great. I believe I have five or six guys on my staff who could be head coaches somewhere else. And the support from administration is tremendous.”

In addition to Rosa’s win, prep2prep.com also recognized the following players for their hard work on the team:

  • Aronn Abinsay, Offensive Lineman, Senior
  • Paul M. Rosa, Utility, Junior
  • Ryan Cooper, Jr., Defensive Back, Senior
  • Gabe Herrera, Running Back, Senior
  • Roan Poulivaati, Linebacker, Junior
  • Alex Adame, Quarterback, Senior
  • Aaron Ah-Sing, Cornerback, Junior
  • Nick Malvini, third team defense, Strong Safety, Senior

Coach Rosa, the assistant coaches, and the players poured into the Board Room at the January 24 board meeting to be recognized by the Board of Trustees. Check out some of the photos at the District Flickr account.
