LCAP stands for Local Control and Accountability Plan. We are inviting families, students, community members, and staff to provide comments on the revised draft of the 2022-2023 Annual Update to the three-year 2021-2024 LCAP. An overview of the draft LCAP was presented to the District Advisory Committee (DAC) on April 26 and to the District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) on May 19 for feedback.
The draft plan is available for public comment from May 20 through June 12, 2022. The superintendent is required to provide comments to any questions that are posed by the DAC and DELAC. There is strong alignment between the LCAP and the district's vision and 2021-2026 strategic plan.
While our vision and strategic plan articulate the overarching vision, goals, and actions for the district as a whole, the LCAP is a focused look at what we will provide over and above our core program to students whose needs go beyond the core. The LCAP itself is a lengthy document with three years of information. The annual update includes updates from 2021-2022 data/metrics and planned 2022-2023 updates to the actions section for each of the three goals. The Glossary of Terms is a helpful reference.
