About Family Child Education
Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and Before and After School Enrichment Programs
The family child education office is located on the Educational Options campus. This department provides programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, including before and after-school enrichment programs, onsite at elementary school campus' throughout the district.
Infant-Toddler Child Development Center
Provides a year-round full-day program for children ages 6 weeks through 3 years.
State Preschool Program
Provides a 10-month half-day kindergarten readiness program for children 4 years old at no cost, or a reduced cost, to qualifying families.
District Preschool Program
Provides a year-round parent-funded preschool/prekindergarten program serving children 3-5 years old. Half day and full day schedules are available.
Children's Center Full-Day Preschool Program
Provides both a parent-funded and a subsidized program for children 3-5 years old. Fees for subsidized families are based on a sliding scale for parents who work, are in training or going to school.
Extended Day Enrichment Program
Provides before and after school services, school year breaks, and summer programs. Services are offered on fifteen of our elementary school campuses. Subsidized services are offered at select locations for income qualifying families. Fees for subsidized services are based on a sliding scale for parents who are working, are in training or going to school.
