Chefs will learn and explore new cooking techniques, kitchen terms, and safe food handling, as well as prepare a full menu of recipes from scratch. These engaging & intensive, week-long courses will have our young chefs ready to wow family and friends with their new culinary skills.
Parents are invited to join us on Friday afternoons for “Family Friday” to enjoy a sampling of these delicious menus!

Curriculum
- Seasonal Favorites Week: During this course, young chefs will explore recipes that will be sure to be a hit at all their seasonal get-togethers. Here are a few recipes our young chefs will be making:
- Winter Feast: Pork Tenderloin, Au Gratin Potatoes, Shaved Brussels Sprout Salad
- Spring Brunch: Honey Glazed Ham, Quiche, Mini Hasselback Potatoes
- Fall Harvest: Cornish Game Hens, Roasted Vegetables, Stuffing
- SSBT Goes Green: During this course, young chefs will be going meatless. Learning to make these delicious vegetarian recipes might just make your family want to have Meatless Monday every week! Here are a few of the recipes our young chefs will be making:
- Mini Pita and Falafel Bites with Hummus
- Peanut Butter Bars and Peach Galette
- Caprese Salad Skewers and Zucchini Fritters
- American Road Trip: During this course, young chefs will take a food tour of the USA. They will be making regional foods from the South, East, Midwest, & West! Here are a few of the recipes our young chefs will be making:
- Nashville Hot Chicken Tender Bites, Southern Style Green Beans, Southern Baked Macaroni and Cheese
- Italian Meatball Sub Sliders, Slider Rolls, Coleslaw
- Pasties, Tator Tot Hotdish, Michigan Bumpy Cake
- California Chicken Pizza, Cobb Salad, Lemon Pound Cake
- Baking Basics: During this course, young bakers will go back to the basics and learn how to prepare a variety of simple yet delicious baked goods. Here are a few of the recipes our young chefs will be making:
- Cookies, Bars, & Other Treats: Sugar Cookies, 7-Layer Bars, Dipped Pretzels
- Pies: Apple Pie, Chocolate Mousse Pie, Cherry Handpie
- Cakes & Cupcakes: Mini Cinnamon Bundt Cakes, Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting, Chocolate Cupcakes
- Bread, Crackers, & Savory Snacks: Roaster Garlic Focaccia, Ham and Cheese Pinwheels, Cheese Crackers
- Brand Names on a Budget: During this course, young chefs will have fun recreating restaurant favorites and grocery store staples right in our own kitchen, for a fraction of the cost! Here are a few recipes our young chefs will be making:
- Denny’s Moons Over my Hammy, IHOP Buttermilk Pancakes, Cracker Barrel Hashbrown Casserole
