Address Verification

Families with students incoming to grades 3, 6, and 9 must complete an online address verification form to confirm they live within Santa Clara Unified School District boundaries.  Address verification must be completed between April 21 and May 9, 2026, for your child to start on the first day of school.  

This process ensures that, in compliance with California Education Code (EDC) Section 48200 and our Board Policy (BP 5111.1), our schools serve those students and families residing within our school district boundaries and that we spend our resources efficiently and effectively to the benefit of SCUSD students and families.

On April 21, families will receive a school-specific link from addressverification@scusd.net with instructions on how to upload current proof of address documents to the online enrollment system.

Step 1 | Collect Important Information

Before you begin the address verification, we recommend you gather all the required Proof of Address documents.

Step 2 | Check Receipt of Email

On April 21, 2025, the primary parent/guardian contact listed in our student information system will receive an email from addressverification@scusd.net with information about how to complete the address verification. 

If you are experiencing technical difficulties logging into the online enrollment system, please contact addressverification@scusd.net for assistance.

Step 3 | Complete Form

To complete the address verification for:

1. Please follow the "View Your Form" button to access the Address Verification Form and fill out and attach the necessary information. Note: You do not need a login or password to fill out and submit the form. 

2. When you are ready to submit your form, click the "Submit form" button. Your response will be recorded, and you will receive a copy of your submission by email. 

Step 4 | Document Review

School sites and the Enrollment Center will partner to verify documents uploaded in the form. Once your documents are verified, you will receive an email confirmation.  You will be notified via email if the documents uploaded are incorrect or invalid.
