  • Santa Clara Unified Council of Parent Teacher Associations (SCU Council PTA)

    SCU Council PTA builds a bridge between the units (schools), district, state, and National PTA, creating a support system for the grass-root associations. PTAs work to positively impact the lives of all children and families by representing its members and empowering and supporting them with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication.

    Santa Clara Unified Parents (SCUP)

    SCUP is a network of school site council members, PTO/PTA members, community leaders and concerned parents of students within Santa Clara Unified School District. SCUP strives for a quality public school education full of enrichment programs and academic success within Santa Clara Unified by collaborating with the Board of Trustees, district staff, and the teachers union.

    School Site Council (SSC)

    Each school must have an elected School Site Council (SSC) to represent parents, students, community members, and school staff in the school governance process. Contact your school office for more information.

    District English Learners Advisory Committee (DELAC)

    Each California public school district with 51 or more English learners must form a District-level English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) or subcommittee of an existing district-wide advisory committee. The purpose of the DELAC, or the subcommittee on English learner education, is to advise the district's local governing board on programs and services for English learners.

    Community Advisory Committee (CAC) for Special Education

    The purpose of the CAC is to champion effective special education programs and services and advise the district's local governing board on priorities in the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA).

    General Obligation Bond Independent Citizen's Oversight Committee

    State law requires the establishment of a Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee to review the spending of Bond funds and report their findings to the general public.
