100-Day Plan

Building Bridges through listening and learning

Purpose

Planning, preparation, monitoring, and evaluation are essential to the continuous growth of any successful organization. As part of my 100-Day Plan, I am leading a comprehensive Listening and Learning Campaign designed to gather meaningful feedback from students, staff, families, and community partners. The first day of my 100-Day Plan started on August 13 which was the first day of school for the 2025-2026 school year. This feedback will guide the development of clear goals and actionable strategies that move Santa Clara Unified School District forward.

This plan serves as a transparent roadmap for my transition into the superintendency, ensuring that all stakeholders understand district priorities and feel supported in achieving their personal and professional goals.

Through this campaign, we will seek to answer three key questions:

  1. What key strengths or traditions should SCUSD preserve?
  2. What are the district’s most pressing challenges that need to be addressed?
  3. What strategies do you believe are essential to move the district forward?

The Listening and Learning Campaign also reflects my core leadership philosophy: building trust through authentic engagement. As Superintendent, I am committed to earning the trust and respect of our community by consistently demonstrating five essential qualities of leadership:

Competence, Consistency, Concern, Candor, and Connection

The insights gathered from our educational partners will help shape a student-centered vision rooted in equity, innovation, and advocacy. Together, we will ensure every student is equipped to thrive as a capable, confident, and productive citizen. By listening intentionally and leading collaboratively, we will lay the foundation for a stronger, more inclusive future for Santa Clara Unified.
