Local Control and Accountability Plan

LCAP Overview

Every three years, school districts are required by the state of California to develop a Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) that explains the district's:

  • Goals and actions planned for the coming three years.
  • Measures of progress toward meeting the goals.
  • Processes used to engage parents, students, staff, and the community in the development of the plan.

Each year, SCUSD creates an Annual Update to its three-year LCAP. Since November 2024, we have been busy reviewing the actions, metrics and investments, assessing impact, and making revisions to “fine-tune” our LCAP. We have been doing this with the input of families/caregivers, community members, students, certificated and classified staff members, and administrators. This input has been happening through committee meetings, focus groups, and the LCAP Input Survey that was sent to School Site Council members and trustees from January to March. The draft Annual Update is now available for public review and comment.

LCAP Draft and Public Comments

The goals, actions, and metrics will guide and focus all staff on improving student achievement for our high-need students. There is a strong alignment between the LCAP, School Single Plans for Student Achievement (SPSAs) and the district's vision and priority initiatives
