Preliminary Administrative Service Credential
SCUSD is the only district in Santa Clara County that offers a year-long cohort for certificated staff to earn their preliminary administrative service credential through a unique partnership with Santa Clara County Office of Education called Education Preparation for Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice. This opportunity is an 11-month program instructed by SCUSD district level leaders. Equity principled leadership is embedded in all coursework and fieldwork environments. The curriculum is based on the California Administrative Professional Expectations (CAPES) and the California Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (CPSELs).Upon successful completion of PASC participants will be eligible to apply for their Preliminary Administrative Services Credential or their Certificate of Eligibility for their credential.
All classes are taught on Wednesday evenings and courses include the following:
- Visionary Leadership
- Professional Learning
- Instructional Leadership
- Management, Learning Environment and Ethics
- Facilitating Teacher Growth
- Education, Policy, Systems & Community Leadership
In the Fall, the professional learning development will be advertising for a new cohort to begin in early 2023.
