Teacher Housing Foundation
In an effort to support our valued educators, the Santa Clara Unified School District has provided a housing solution since 2001. We initially constructed 40 residential units, followed by an additional 30 units in 2008, resulting in a total of 70 units. These apartments are made available to our dedicated teachers at a reduced rate, 80% below the market rate, with the aim of helping them save for homeownership after 7 years.
The Casa Del Maestro Apartment Complex is conveniently situated on a school site that is primarily leased to various K-12 entities. These units come in both one and two-bedroom configurations, each featuring a one-car garage.
For teachers in their first decade of service with the District, the process begins by signing up for the waiting list through our Human Resources Department. When units become available, our Property Manager will reach out to individuals on the waiting list, ensuring a smooth transition into these comfortable residences.
