Peterson Laurelwood Master Plan

On June 23, 2022, the SCUSD Board of Trustees approved the Peterson and Patrick Henry Facility Master Plan, the new Laurelwood Master Plan, and Program of Spaces. The design of the new Laurelwood Elementary School began in July 2022.

Voter-approved general obligation bond Measure BB allocated bond funds to design and build a new elementary school for Laurelwood Elementary on the Patrick Henry Campus and new fields at Peterson Middle School. In order to create a plan that encompasses all of the district's assets, SCUSD has created a master plan for the new Laurelwood Elementary campus and a portion of Peterson Middle School.

Currently, funding is only identified for the new Laurelwood Elementary School and the Peterson track and field.  The other improvements identified in the master plan will be completed as funding is secured.

A master plan is a dynamic long-term planning document that provides a visionary site plan to guide future expansion with enhanced student and community access to the sites.
