Westwood Elementary Modernization

Project Updates as of April 2026:

The Work is divided into phases beginning with site work summer 2025. Work will extend into the 2025-26 school year. All projects phases will be completed by the end of 2026:

• New multipurpose building with full kitchen, indoor/outdoor stage.
• New lunch court between the kitchen-serving area and the multipurpose room. The lunch court is open under the building roof with skylights, preserving the existing access pathway through the campus.
• The indoor/outdoor stage opens to the playground.
• New parking lot and drives fronting Saratoga Avenue.

• Steel erection will be completed over a three-week period.
• The front parking lot is not available during this time.
• Working hours are being adjusted to accommodate testing days.
• The building occupancy dates have changed from August to December
• The project will replace 19 existing trees with 35 new trees in optimum locations.
