New Laurelwood Elementary School

The project will construct a new elementary school at the former Patrick Henry Intermediate School located at 1095 Dunford Way, Sunnyvale, CA including new single-story classroom buildings, multipurpose and administration buildings.The school is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2026.

Project Updates as of June, 2026:

  • The Project is being implemented in phases:
    • Off-site development (utilities and street improvements) phases one and two.
    • Increment 1: Site Grading and Underground Utilities.
    • Increment 2: Building and Site Construction.
  • Turf field under construction. 
  • Parking lots and drives ready for asphalt. 
  • PG&E electrical service projected on June 5 (1,122 days from first application for service.). 
  • New sidewalks on Teal Drive are complete. 
  • The school is on track to open in August 2026.
