Briarwood Elementary Modernization

Project Updates as of October 2024:

The Work is divided into phases beginning with site work summer 2025. Work will extend into the 2025-26 school year. All projects phases will be completed by the end of 2026.  Construction drawings and specifications are being completed for next summer’s work. DSA permit application have begun. Design development drawings are nearly complete for the building construction phase:

• New parking lot and drives.
• Two new classrooms buildings with six classrooms and support spaces.
• New preschool/TK playground with shade.
• Remove old portable classrooms.
• New standing-seam metal roofing on permanent buildings.  

The scope of work for work planned to begin next summer is as follows:

• Vacate two classroom wings and four portable classrooms.
• Demolish two classroom wings.
• Install new replacement standing seam metal roofing on four classroom wings, the office and multipurpose building.
• Underground utility piping modifications.
