Briarwood Elementary Modernization

Project Updates as of December 2025:

The Work is divided into phases beginning with site work summer 2025. Work will extend into the 2025-26 school year. All projects phases will be completed by the end of 2026:

• New parking lot and drives.
• Two new classrooms buildings with six classrooms and support spaces.
• New preschool/K playground with shade.

• A property line issue with the City of Santa Clara regarding the street right of way on Townsend Avenue has been resolved. The offsite street improvement work will be completed  next summer. 
• New building footings are underway. Steel will arrive soon. 
• The project will replace 11 existing trees with 40 new trees in optimum locations.
