What are the new district boundaries for the 2022-2023 school year?

To access the new district boundaries, visit the School Locator webpage

How do I enroll a new student in Santa Clara Unified School District?

All new students must enroll through our online enrollment system. For more information about how to register a student, visit the registration forms and process webpage.

If Dolores Huerta Middle School is my school of residence and I want my child to attend, do I need to re-enroll my child (returning students)?

No. You don’t have to do anything; your child will be automatically registered for the new school.

What do I need to do if I want my child to attend the same school as their 8th grade sibling?

Our Enrollment Center will be sending you a form so you can indicate whether you want your child to stay with their sibling or move to the new school. If your child’s sibling is attending a school on Open Enrollment, you will need to apply for Open Enrollment for your child to be considered for your school of choice.

What do I need to do if I want my child to continue at their current school and they do not have sibling(s) in grades 3-5 or 7-8?

You will need to apply for Open Enrollment for your child to be considered to stay at their current school. Admittance to the school of your choice under Open Enrollment is done by an annual random lottery system and is based on space availability.

How do I apply for Open Enrollment?

    1. Determine your school of residence using the district’s School Locator.
    2. Register online to obtain your permanent student number.
    3. Wait to receive your permanent student number from the Enrollment Center. This can take up to two business days.
    4. Register for Open Enrollment using your permanent student number during one of the enrollment windows listed on the Open Enrollment webpage.
