Specialty camps are week-long sessions focusing on specialized topics and offer multiple learning experiences.
Coding Camp: Tech Titans | 4th-8th Grade- FULL
At Tech Titans, campers will unleash their creativity and learn to problem-solve with engaging fun engineering and coding projects that introduce students to how software and hardware work together.
- Design a Space Rover
- Campers will learn about physics, mechanical engineering, and how technology can be utilized to problem solve and enhance mechanical projects as they build simple machines out of everyday materials to design their own prototype of a space exploration rover.
- Coding concepts will be introduced as they program the BBC micro:bit mini computer, and various robots, including LEGO Spike Prime and Dash, to demonstrate the mechanics of controlling their rover’s movement and how environmental sensors, radio communication, and LED light signals can be used to enhance their rover’s capabilities.
- Coding Fun with Robots!
- Campers will engage in daily hands-on projects that promote collaboration, design thinking, and computer science skills as they build and program robots like LEGO Spike Prime and Dash.
- Coding concepts, such as loops, conditional statements, variables, and debugging will be introduced using block code. Projects include making a moving vehicle, creating a dancing robot, and creating tools with real world applications.

Culinary Camp: Simmer, Stew, & Bake it Too! | 4th-8th Grade
Chefs will learn and explore new cooking techniques, kitchen terms, and safe food handling, as well as prepare a full menu of recipes from scratch. These engaging & intensive, week-long courses will have our young chefs ready to wow family and friends with their new culinary skills.
- Italian Favorites
- During this course, young chefs will learn how to prepare a variety of familiar and delicious Italian dishes. Here are a few recipes our young chefs will be making:
- Rigatoni Pie, Veggie Lasagna, and Calzones
- Zuppa Toscana Soup with Focaccia Bread
- Lemon Cream Puffs
- During this course, young chefs will learn how to prepare a variety of familiar and delicious Italian dishes. Here are a few recipes our young chefs will be making:
- Brand Names on a Budget
- During this course, young chefs will have fun recreating restaurant favorites and grocery store staples right in our own kitchen, for a fraction of the cost! Here are a few recipes our young chefs will be making:
- Panda Express Beef Broccoli and Chow Mein, Carl's Jr. Chicken Club
- T.G.I.Fridays's Potato Skins, Applebee's Mozzarella Sticks, KFC's Potato Wedges
- Milano Cookies, York Peppermint Patties, Sunny D
- During this course, young chefs will have fun recreating restaurant favorites and grocery store staples right in our own kitchen, for a fraction of the cost! Here are a few recipes our young chefs will be making:
- Pastry Arts
- During this course, young bakers will be preparing basic cake and cookie recipes, then they will flex their creative muscles with new techniques and skills in cake and cookie decoration. Here are a few decorating techniques they will be learning:
- Royal Icing; Sugar Cookies
- Fondant Accents; Cupcakes
- Buttercream Flowers; Cake
- Shaping and Dipping; Cake Pops
- During this course, young bakers will be preparing basic cake and cookie recipes, then they will flex their creative muscles with new techniques and skills in cake and cookie decoration. Here are a few decorating techniques they will be learning:

The Art of Fun will pique aspiring artists' curiosity and creativity as they learn new and exciting crafting techniques. This year, we feature two different sets of curricula to choose from:

Farm to Table Camp | Kindergarten-8th Grade
At the Santa Clara USD Farm, young farmers will have the opportunity to learn where their food comes from and enjoy farm-fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs! Farm to Table Camp will teach farmers the science of farming as well as hands-on experience with food and cooking. FCE-SCUSD is proud to provide the 12th Annual Farm to Table Camp in collaboration with Stanford University.
