In past community forums and surveys from our strategic plan, local control and accountability plan, and boundary planning for other school sites, we heard that fiscal responsibility, modern learning environments and curriculum, and making boundary configurations diverse and equitable were important to our community. The configuration options presented to our community for feedback are intended to reflect those requests.
We would like to hear your pros and cons for these configuration concepts as well as what else we can be considering or any questions you may have as we also explore the feedback from the Agnews Boundary Advisory Committee.
School community and boundary changes are very important and complex topics to discuss. They can be hard to talk about. Please be polite and respectful as you share and rate thoughts. If you see thoughts that are rude, hurtful, or identify a person or a group of people, you can flag them for moderator review by clicking in the upper right corner of the thought.
You do not need to rate every thought in the conversation but we encourage you to rate at least 30 thoughts over the time that this exchange is open (through March 25). Through this process and the community forums on March 12 and 13, we hope to identify the top considerations for planning the future boundaries of the Agnews Campus schools and how we communicate with our communities about them.
Boundary scenarios will be recommended to the Board of Trustees in April 2019. Board Discussion, Planning, and Action agenda items are currently scheduled for April 11, April 25, and a date to be determined in May 2019.
