Because they have no paid staff, all the money MCCF raises goes directly to the organizations we support. When you donate to the MCCF you can be confident that local organizations get maximum benefit -- 100 percent -- from your donation. Our objective is simple: enriching the quality of life in the City of Santa Clara. We focus on five areas of giving: social services, education, health care, theater and arts, and the environment. Over the years, the MCCF has supported hundreds of nonprofit organizations and enabled them to expand and enhance their services to the residents of Santa Clara. We serve people of all ages throughout the community. •MCCF grants help senior citizens with transportation, housing, medical and other support services — helping them lead happier, healthier and fuller lives. •By supporting special projects sponsored by the Santa Clara Unified School District, we enrich the educational and extracurricular opportunities of students of all ages. •Our contributions to the Santa Clara Public Library and the Community Literacy Project help children and adults improve reading and writing skills and begin to build their home libraries. •Grants to the YWCA, the Emergency Housing Consortium, Next Door Solutions, InnVision, and the Santa Clara Police Department help children and families facing homelessness, abuse, rape and violence. •Partnerships with service organizations like the Rotary Club of Santa Clara help provide shoes, books and necessities to disadvantaged elementary school children. •With Soroptimist of Santa Clara we brighten the holiday season for low-income families with gifts and celebrations.
